WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR – A crash involving four vehicles early Wednesday, July 31, in south Hillsboro sent three people to the hospital.
The accident unfolded on a span of Southwest Hillsboro Highway (Highway 219) near the intersection with Southwest Robinson Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene at about 6:51 a.m., with an off-duty firefighter being one of the first on the site.
According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, one person was left entrapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated. A total of three patients were transported to local hospitals, and one patient received medical attention at the scene.
No information regarding the conditions of the hospitalized patients has been released at this time.
A section of SW Hillsboro Highway was shut down during the emergency response and investigation but was reopened to traffic at around 8:15 a.m.
