Narrative
CLACKAMAS COUNTY, OR – A 39-year-old Vancouver, Washington, resident died Thursday afternoon following a a two-vehicle wreck near Oregon City that left two other people hurt.
The accident happened in the 16000 block of South Clackamas River Driver on September 5, 2024, just after 4:00 p.m.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived on scene to find that a 2016 Lexus IS and a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck had collided head-on.
The Washington resident, who was driving the pickup, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Lexus, a 20-year-old Happy Valley resident, and their passenger, 17, received treatment for minor injuries at the scene.
An investigation by the CCSO’s Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) was underway. Officials were working to determine whether drugs and/or alcohol contributed to the fatal crash.
